Shield Country is located in Peterborough, Ontario and defined by proximity to the Canadian Shield's granite geology. This landscape urges exploration; teaching durability and adaptability. This informs our beliefs and product design.

THE FOUNDER

My name’s Iain. My first (and favourite) job was selling gear in a local outdoors store. After a decade in the corporate world, I spend as much time as I can outside on a bike or in a canoe with my family. I'm building Shield Country as I couldn’t find gear storage that felt like it belonged in our home.
